How much time do you think it takes each day to improve your fitness?

A recent study in the US shows that 43% of all female runners are content with their weight and 45% are content with their fitness levels.

The same study shows that 48% of all male runners are content with their weight and 46% are content with their fitness levels.

Just imagine there were no roadblocks and you could find time to start exercising.

When you exercise on a regular basis there are many benefits you will enjoy. You will feel better about how you look and how you feel. It is just a matter of getting started

So, here are the first 5 mistakes that people often make.



There isn’t enough time

Exercising for hours upon hours every week is NOT a requirement.

And, although many people go to a gym to exercise for X amount of hours each time, lengthy exercise programs are not required in order to be successful with fitness.

Even a small amount of exercise is better than none at all. Starting with as little as 10 minutes a day is enough to get you going.

Get out of your seat

You sit at your desk, you sit in your car, and you sit on your couch. Break up the time you spend sitting down by getting up and moving around.

So every hour make sure you get up and spend 10 – 15 minutes moving around in some form of physical activity.

Writing a list of things that you can do in your workplace or home that gets your heart rate going is a great way to motivate yourself to getting out of the chair every hour.

I will have to change my diet

While fitness and eating healthy do go hand in hand, that doesn’t mean you have to completely give up on the finer things in life like chocolate and wine.

As with anything else in your life, moderation is important.

So you start out making small changes one at a time and you will feel the difference when you starting eating healthy foods.

Getting bored doing the same old thing..

Vary your fitness routines.

For instance if you follow the same workout plan for a month, the 2nd month try a new one. Switch things up and keep it interesting. Who says fitness has to be the boring?

Spend time planning your weekly exercise and this will help you think of new and exciting ways to exercise.



Too much exercise makes me look bulky

The truth of the matter is, most women don’t have it in their makeup to get bulky and those who do have to work very hard at it.

As a matter of fact, losing weight is EASIER than putting on muscle. For men to gain muscle takes a lot of hard work and sticking to a healthy diet.
